THE COMPUTER DIED. :D
While I was sleeping this afternoon. Apparently it blue screened and then rebooted and when it rebooted it… didn’t reboot. You turn it on and off and it asks you for a valid boot disk. John is guessing this means the drive failed.
While this is isn’t as distressing news as it could be (my files are on a separate drive from the one the OS partition is on) it certainly takes a giant dump all over my Artslam challenge and certainly puts a crimp in the progress I can make on WordJam (yes, I am still working on that). I think the biggest lameness this all presents is remembering all the cool little pieces of software I had from the great wide interwebs and all the settings and things I had in the giant monstrosities of programs like my adobe suite, office, and firefox.
I think next weekend will be spent cleaning out my room, buying a desk, and finally getting a checking account with my savings. Then I can finally build a frapping MATH rig that NO ONE CAN FRAP UP BUT ME. And ALL the peasants will rejoice.
For now, I’m on this little netbook that could - barely handle flash or register every stroke from a wacom tablet. *facepalm*
